Terms of service
Last updated 29 October 2026.
The short version
- 14 days free with no card. Then the plan you choose, from A$39.00 a month ex GST, or yearly for the price of 10 months.
- Cancel any time in Billing. No lock-in contract and no cancellation fee.
- Your shop's information is yours. Download it any time, even after you stop paying.
- We give you 30 days' notice of price rises and important changes, and you can leave before they apply.
- You're responsible for how your shop uses Halftonik, including messages to your customers.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between Cross Angle Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 59 665 279 863), trading as Halftonik ("Halftonik", "we", "us") and the business that signs up ("you", "your shop"). The person who creates the account confirms they can agree on the business's behalf. They include our privacy policy, customer data terms and acceptable use policy.
Halftonik is for businesses. It's offered for business use, not personal or household use.
2. The service
Halftonik is online software for running a print, embroidery or decoration shop: quotes, approvals, mockups, the job board, purchasing, invoices, customer pages and the other features on our website.
We keep improving Halftonik, so features change over time. We won't take away or substantially reduce a main feature you use without telling you at least 30 days before. If a change like that leaves the service materially worse for you, you can cancel and we'll refund what you've paid for the time after the change.
3. Your account and team
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Each person needs their own sign-in. Keep sign-in details private, and remove people who leave. Owners and admins must use two-step sign-in.
- You're responsible for the people you invite, what their role lets them do, and what they do in your shop.
- Tell us straight away at support@halftonik.com if you think someone has got into your account without permission.
4. Free trial
New shops get 14 days free, with no card needed. Some limits are lower during the trial, such as texts and AI uses. When the trial ends, nothing is charged unless you choose a plan. Your information is kept for 12 months so you can pick up where you left off, and you can download it in the meantime.
5. Prices and payment
- There are three plans: Starter at A$39.00, Shop at A$129.00 and Pro from A$249.00 a month ex GST. Each includes a number of office users, and each extra office user and each add-on you choose is charged on top. A Pro price agreed with us in writing applies instead of the list price. Paying yearly costs the same as 10 months. Production logins are free. Current prices, limits and add-ons are on our pricing page.
- The plan renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. We bill in advance by card, in Australian dollars, through Stripe, which emails you a receipt for every payment. Each one is a tax invoice showing GST.
- Moving to a bigger plan, or adding office users or add-ons, is charged for the rest of the current period; moving to a smaller plan or removing them gives a credit towards your next bill. Features not in the plan you move to stop working when you move, and their information is kept.
- If a payment fails, Stripe emails you and tries again. Your shop keeps working for 7 days. After that, your team is asked to update the payment details before going on, and your information is kept safe.
- We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to you. It applies from your next renewal after that, so a yearly plan keeps its price for the year you've paid for.
6. Included allowances
Each month your plan includes the text messages (each part of a long text counts as one) and AI uses shown on the pricing page, for your own shop's work. When you reach an allowance, AI help stops and texts aren't sent until the 1st of the next month (Melbourne time). Trial allowances are lower. Other features have reasonable limits to keep Halftonik fast and safe for everyone, as our acceptable use policy explains.
7. Cancelling
You can cancel any time, online, from the Billing page. You keep using Halftonik until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund part periods, except where these terms or the law say we will. Automatic reminders, automations and webhooks stop when your trial or plan ends. Your customers can still open links you've already sent. To close your account and have your information deleted, email support@halftonik.com.
8. When we can suspend or end your account
- If you break these terms in a way that can be fixed, we'll tell you what's wrong and give you at least 14 days to fix it before we suspend or end your account.
- We can suspend straight away, telling you why, if there's a serious risk to the service, to other shops or to anyone's information or safety, if your account is being used for fraud, spam or anything unlawful, or if the law requires it. We'll restore access once the problem is fixed, if it can be.
- We can stop offering Halftonik altogether by giving at least 90 days' notice. If we do, or if we end your account without you having broken these terms, we'll refund what you've paid for the time after it ends.
9. Your information
- Everything your shop puts into Halftonik, including your customers' details, artwork, prices, orders and messages, belongs to you. You let us store, copy and handle it only to run, secure and improve Halftonik for you, as our customer data terms set out.
- You can download your customers, jobs, invoices and payments as spreadsheet files any time, including from the Billing page after a trial or plan ends, and we'll help with anything else you need.
- After your account ends, you have 30 days to ask for a copy of your information. Then we delete it, as our privacy policy describes.
10. Your responsibilities
- Your customers' information. You're responsible for having the right to keep and use it, and for telling your customers how you handle their information, for example in your own privacy policy.
- Messages. Emails and texts sent through Halftonik come from your shop, and you're responsible for them under the Spam Act 2003. Use Halftonik for messages about your customers' own quotes, proofs, orders, invoices and payments. Don't send marketing emails through it. Marketing texts can only go to people who've agreed to them; Halftonik adds your shop's name and "Reply STOP to opt out" to every text.
- Artwork and content. You must have the right to use the artwork, logos and other content you upload or print, and you're responsible for it.
- Your prices and paperwork. You set your prices, taxes and terms. Check quotes and invoices before sending them, including any drafted by AI help.
11. Other services you connect
You can connect services such as Stripe, your accounting system, Shippit, Zapier and online stores. Each is provided by another company under its own terms, and you're responsible for your accounts with them.
- Card payments from your customers go into your own Stripe account, which Stripe opens in your shop's name under its own agreement with you. We're not part of those payments and never hold your money.
- Courier bookings made through Shippit are between your shop, Shippit and the courier, and Shippit charges you for them directly.
- We're not responsible for those services, or for what happens to information after it reaches them. If one changes or stops working, we'll do our best to keep the connection running, but we can't promise it.
12. AI help
AI help drafts quotes, emails and artwork checks. Drafts can be wrong or incomplete, so check them before using them. Prices in AI drafts come from your own price lists. What you put in and the drafts you get out are yours, and aren't used to train AI. An owner or admin can switch AI help off in Shop details.
13. Our property
Halftonik, its software, design and name belong to us or the people we license them from. These terms give you the right to use Halftonik for your shop while your account is active, not to copy, resell or take it apart. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
14. Keeping things confidential
We'll keep your shop's information confidential, and use it only to run Halftonik. You'll keep confidential anything we share with you that isn't public, such as security details. Neither of us has to keep confidential what's already public, or what the law requires us to share.
15. Availability and support
We work hard to keep Halftonik running and fast, and we back up your information every day. Sometimes we need short maintenance breaks, which we try to make outside Australian business hours. We can't promise the service will never be unavailable or free of faults, but we'll fix problems as quickly as we reasonably can. For help, email support@halftonik.com.
16. Responsibility for loss
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.
- Where the law lets us, our responsibility for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
- Otherwise, each of us is responsible to the other for loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence, up to the total fees you paid in the 12 months before the event, or A$1,000, whichever is more. Neither of us is responsible for indirect loss, such as lost profits, revenue or opportunities.
- These limits don't apply to fees you owe, to a breach of section 13 or 17, or to fraud or deliberate wrongdoing.
17. Claims from others
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you upload or print, messages you send, or how your shop handles its customers' information, you'll cover our reasonable costs of it, except to the extent we caused or contributed to it. If someone claims that using Halftonik as these terms allow infringes their intellectual property, we'll deal with the claim and cover your reasonable costs of it. Whoever is covering a claim must be told about it promptly and allowed to handle it.
18. Changes to these terms
We'll email shop owners at least 30 days before an important change to these terms applies. If you don't agree with it, you can cancel before then, and if you've paid in advance, we'll refund what you've paid for the time after the change. Small changes that don't disadvantage you, like clearer wording, can apply straight away. The date at the top shows the latest version.
19. Disagreements
If there's a problem, email support@halftonik.com first and we'll try to sort it out together within 30 days. If we can't, either of us can suggest mediation before going to court. These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and the courts there can hear disputes about them.
20. General
- We'll send notices to the account owner's email address. You can send them to support@halftonik.com.
- We can transfer these terms to a business that takes over Halftonik, if it keeps to them. You can transfer your account if your business is sold, by letting us know.
- Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as major internet or cloud outages, as long as we try to limit the effect.
- If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- These terms are the whole agreement between us about Halftonik.
